Showcasing scholarly expertise and facilitating collaboration
A case study by Digital Science
The Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Technology Consortium (OHTECH) were looking for a way to encourage closer collaboration between scientists from the Ohio universities and industry in the state. But they faced a problem: How to make faculty expertise, equipment, research centers of excellence, and IP from across 6 Ohio universities accessible to industry? This was especially challenging given that each of the 6 participating universities had their own way of managing research information locally. They found a solution from Digital Science. Taking a data-first approach, software from Digital Science harvests and categorizes data from local Ohio university systems and presents it in a publicly accessible innovation exchange platform with analytical features.
